Purpose This Invitation to Tender is being issued by the Health Organization for the following project: The work will be required on Levels 1, 3 and 4 at 4946 Canada Way, Burnaby. The scope of work includes; Replace existing carpet and vinyl sheet flooring, installation of baseboard. Removal of the baseboard will not be part of the scope of work. The proposed carpet will be Interface Aerial series, and the vinyl sheet will be commercial grade ‘Tarkett’ type sheet flooring with a welded seam. Clinic rooms will require a flash coved edge. The floor plans for Levels 1, 3 and 4 with scope markups have been attached to this document. The building is occupied and the majority of work will be completed after hours/weekends only. Generally speaking, most programs operate between 8 AM – 4:30 PM Mon-Fri. Some programs operate throughout the weekend at a smaller capacity. The flooring contractor will require to include a furniture lift. The furniture company will detach any furniture attached to the wall ahead of construction starts. All cabinets will be empty by the program, and all personal items will be packed into a box by the program. The flooring contractor will be responsible to clean up the construction space after each night's flooring work as the program will be working the next day. The flooring contractor will also be responsible for removing and disposing of existing carpet tile and sheet goods. The baseboard removal is not part of the scope of work. The construction schedule is between July to September. Eligible Bidders Only Bidders pre-qualified by the Health Organization in the following discipline may submit a Tender in response to this ITT:
