This Invitation to Tender is being issued by the Health Organization to select a General Contractor for the E537-00 VCH 220 E 13^th Ave Ventura House Bed Expansion project. 

Venture House provides early intervention and psychiatric stabilization to Vancouver adult residents.  The Venture House Bed expansion project will add 4 additional beds increasing the existing facility from 21 to 25 beds.  

The renovation scope to the basement would encompass the relocation of an existing staffroom, doctor’s and facility manager’s offices and a storage room from their existing location at the north end of the basement to the south end. The relocation of these space will create available space to be reconfigured into 4 new bedrooms.  Other supporting spaces that will be added in this project include a new observation desk to be used by clinical staff to oversee/access the existing multipurpose space; a new bathroom with shower to be located off the main basement corridor and a new server room in the northwest corner of the basement which will house larger communication racks, CCTV and Telus central panels. The existing food storage room for the kitchen, patient personal belonging room, electrical closet, laundry room and clean supply room will remain untouched and operational during construction. 

The successful contractor is to mobilize and commence upon project award.  The ready-for-takeover date is May 1, 2024.
