This Invitation to Tender is being issued by the Health Organization for the Providence Health Care – St. Paul’s Hospital Centralized Food Preparation Project.

The St. Paul’s Hospital Centralized Food Project is a subproject to the VCH Decentralized Food Project (A121-00). The kitchen at VGH (circa 1959) has reached the end of its lifecycle. Upgrades and repairs would be difficult and costly in a very congested space. It was determined that the kitchen at St. Paul’s Hospital (SPH) has the capacity to prepare food for VGH and Banfield Pavilion.
The project work will occur on Level P1, Level 1 and Level 4. Renovations will be undertaken to accommodate a new kettle and two new gas ovens. The large walk-in freezer currently used as a miscellaneous storage area will be converted back to a freezer. This will entail upgrades undertaken by a refrigeration company appointed by SPH.
