This Invitation to Tender is being issued by the Health Organization for the selection of General Contractor for C583-00 VGH Endoscopy Suites Room Reconfigurations Project. The Project is located in the Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) campus on the ground floor of the Jim Pattison South Pavilion. The proposed renovation space is 2 existing endoscopy procedure rooms measuring approximately 52 net square meters (560 net square feet). The Project will update and reconfigure the rooms to improve functionality, meet current standards, and provide better service to the patients and public. The scope involves gutting of both rooms back to the studs. The electrical devices, lighting, plumbing fixtures (hand hygiene sinks) and HVAC will be replaced in the rooms. Sprinkler head layout will be modified to suit new ceiling layouts. New ceiling-mounted medical booms will be installed, suspended from new structural support frames from the interstitial floor above. Exam lights, monitors, medical gases, and equipment will be integrated into the booms. New floor, wall and ceiling finishes will be provided. And, one of the two rooms will be lead lined as required to permit the use of mobile fluoroscopic imaging. The anticipated Ready-For-Takeover date is January 15, 2025.
