This Invitation to Tender is being issued by the Health Organization for the Richmond Hospital Patient Flow Capacity Enhancement Project. This project involves the renovation of existing patient care rooms in the North Tower at Richmond Hospital to increase number of beds in order to better handle the winter surge. Project scope is to add 10 new temporary care bed spaces in existing rooms in 3rd, 4th and 6th floors of North Tower plus add privacy curtains in 3 other single bed rooms on 3rd and 4th floor so that a second bed can be put in each.  The 10 new spaces will be created by removing storage cabinets and a wall from a storage space to open it up to the patient care room.  A power outlet will be added for the new bed space, as will an overbed light, a call button and an alarm button.  The 3 new bed spaces will each involve addition of a wall-mounted swing curtain track, a power outlet, an overbed light, a call button and an alarm button. 

The ready-for-takeover date is anticipated to be October 30, 2026.
