  1. Purpose

Project Overview

BCEHS are implementing NextGen911 (NG911) which is a federally mandated initiative to modernize the telecommunications technology network. The improved technology and enhanced capabilities will improve how responders communicate and respond to calls. The BCEHS dispatch facility in Victoria, BC, located at 2261 Keating Cross Road, will need to be upgraded to meet the mandate’s requirements.

Project Scope

Adjacent to the existing server room, BCEHS is planning to construct a new server room for the NG911 equipment. The room will require a new UPS unit with N 1 redundancy to enhance system reliability, a new cooling system, and all required electrical connections to the new UPS system, generator, and equipment, as well as security and finishes.
