This Invitation to Tender is being issued by the Health Organization for the renovation of the area where the new Cone Beam CT and the new Panoramic X-Ray will be installed. BC Cancer is planning to install a Cone Beam CT and a Panoramic X-Ray equipment at the Vancouver Cancer Centre located on 600 West 10th Avenue. The available space for the installation is the room #2801 on the second floor (see drawing below). The room will require upgrades to allow for the installation of the two pieces of equipment. The objective is to integrate room 2801 with room 2800/2800A where the waiting room and reception are located. The room will require upgrades including but not limited to: Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, IMITS, Hazardous Materials survey and remediation (if required) and Shielding requirements (as per specifications for both pieces of equipment) Cone Beam CT equipment and the Panoramic X-Ray have been selected. Delivery and installation dates to be coordinated with the equipment supplier. Renovation work will also impact temporarily room #2800C. Currently room #2801 is empty. Renovation work will required to be scheduled to minimize the impact on clinical operations. For infection control Level IV is expected. For construction details please refer to the Architectural, Electrical, mechanical drawings and additional information attached.
